Privacy Policy

Last updated

davetliler.com holds the information needed to make an invitation and share it. That covers the person making it, when and where the occasion happens, and the replies it collects.

This page covers what we collect, what we do with it, and who we share it with. The legal grounds, transfer rules, and retention periods are on the KVKK Clarification Text page.

What we collect

  • Your account: your name and email address. Your password is stored in encrypted form.
  • Your invitation: the name of the occasion, its date, venue, schedule, and the words you write.
  • RSVPs: a guest’s name, whether they are coming, how many people, and any contact detail or note they choose to add.
  • Your billing details: name, email, billing address, and your IP address at the time of payment. Your card details never reach us; the payment is processed on the infrastructure of iyzico, a licensed payment institution.
  • Messages: your contact details and what you write when you email us or message us on WhatsApp.
  • Technical records: session, security, and error logs.
  • Usage measurement: we count which pages are visited and keep a session recording with form fields masked. All of it runs on our own server, and none of it uses a cookie.

What we do not do

  • We do not share your personal data with anyone for advertising or marketing.
  • We do not use the contents of your invitation to profile you or target ads, and we do not track you across other sites.
  • We do not use the contact details your guests share for marketing or for any purpose of our own.

Who can see what

  • Only the host of an invitation sees its RSVPs. Guests cannot see one another’s answers.
  • An invitation link grants no access to an account. Whoever opens it sees that invitation and nothing else.
  • Where an invitation is protected by a PIN, nothing opens until the PIN is entered, and nothing shows in the link preview either.

Who we share it with

Running the service means working with payment, email, server, and traffic security providers. Which provider sees what is listed, by name, on the KVKK Clarification Text page.

When you search for a venue or an address, the text you type is sent to Google through our server to fetch results. The request carries the invitation’s language, the country derived from your IP address and, if you allow location access, your device’s location. Your IP address and your account details are not sent to Google in this request. Searches made without an account are handled the same way.

The map on an invitation is loaded from Google; the same map appears in the form and the preview while you build it. The browser opening the map sends Google the selected place’s Google Maps place ID, or the typed address with its district and city, along with the map language and browser details such as its IP address. Names, the date, and the other text you write on the invitation are not sent.

Location search and maps are provided through Google Maps services. How Google handles this data is set out in the Google Privacy Policy.

Beyond these we share your information with no one. Where a request comes from an authority empowered by law, we examine the basis for it and provide only what the law requires.

Sign in with Google

If you choose Sign in with Google, Google passes us your account identifier, your email address and whether it is verified, your name, your profile photo, and your account language.

We use this only to create your davetliler.com account, sign you in, or link Google to an account you already have. We keep it for as long as the Google connection stands, and delete it when you remove the connection.

Security

Sessions are validated on the server, forms are protected against forgery, and permission to view an invitation is re-checked on every request.

If you find a vulnerability, you can write to us. We look at the reports that come in.

Your choices

  • You can ask us to delete your account and your invitations. On request, your account, your invitations, and the RSVPs on them are deleted together.
  • Guests can update the answer they sent from the same link they answered on.
  • You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings.
  • Send any request about your data to info@davetliler.com.

If this policy changes

When we update this policy, the last-updated date at the top of the page changes. The version in force is always the one on this page.
